Exclusive Interview: With over 2,700 comics in an online subscription service, Marvel takes a bold step into new territory.

IGN Comics: Congratulations on launching the digital download service! How has reaction been so far and have your expectations been met in terms of traffic and usage so far? I noticed the site crashed due to overwhelming interest; that can only be a good thing, right?

John Dokes: Thanks Rich, we’re pretty pumped about this launch and we think Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited is going to be great for comics overall. Interest has definitely exceeded our expectations.

IGN Comics: For those just learning of Marvel’s new digital comics initiative, can you recap the basic concept - availability, pricing, location, selection? Are there ads? Can fans expect titles to be added on a specific day at a specific time? Also, just to make sure - can this system be used on PC, Mac and any browser of the user’s choice or are there restrictions in those areas?
